About this tool

Delete pages from a PDF, such as blank pages, an outdated appendix or pages you must not share, and keep the rest in their original order. Enter the page numbers to remove, like 2,5-7.

The pages are removed from the document itself, so its bookmarks, the form fields on the remaining pages and its document information stay, and images used only by the deleted pages are dropped to keep the file small. Everything happens in your browser, without uploading the PDF.

How to use it

  1. Choose a PDF file, or drop it on the page. Once it is read, the total page count is shown.
  2. Enter the “Pages to delete”, such as 2 or 2,5-7.
  3. Select Run to remove them.
  4. Preview the result and download the new PDF.

Common questions

How do I write the pages to delete?

Separate pages with commas and join a run of pages with a hyphen, for example 1,4-6. Each range goes from a lower to a higher page within the document, and a page may appear only once.

Can I delete every page?

No. A PDF needs at least one page, so a selection that covers every page is refused with the code NO_PAGES_LEFT.

What happens to bookmarks, links and form fields?

Bookmarks and links that point to the remaining pages keep working. Those that point to a deleted page stay in the document but no longer lead anywhere, and form fields on deleted pages are removed with them.

Why is my PDF refused?

Password-protected PDFs, digitally signed PDFs (any change would break the signature), damaged files, files over 80 MB and documents over 500 pages are refused with a message saying why.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The pages are deleted in your browser, and the PDF stays on your device until you close or clear the page.
