About this tool

Extract pages from a PDF into a new PDF: pick the pages you need, such as the signed page of a contract or one chapter of a report, and save them together as one file.

Pages come out in the order you list them, so 5,1-3 puts page 5 first. Unlike splitting, the result is a single PDF that keeps the document's bookmarks, form fields and information. It all runs in your browser, without uploading the file.

How to use it

  1. Choose a PDF file, or drop it on the page. Once it is read, the total page count is shown.
  2. Enter the “Pages to keep, in order”, such as 1-3,7.
  3. Select Run to build the new PDF.
  4. Preview the result and download it.

Common questions

How is this different from splitting a PDF?

Split PDF pages makes one file per page or per range. Extract pages makes one PDF from all the pages you list, in your order, and keeps the original document's bookmarks and forms.

Can I change the page order while extracting?

Yes. List the pages in the order you want them, such as 3,1,2. Each page may appear only once, and a range such as 2-5 always runs upwards.

Is the extracted PDF smaller?

Usually. Images, fonts and other content used only by the pages you leave out are removed from the new file.

Why is my PDF refused?

Password-protected PDFs, digitally signed PDFs, damaged files, files over 80 MB and documents over 500 pages are refused with a message saying why.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The pages are extracted in your browser, and the files stay on your device until you close or clear the page.
