Sign a PDF by drawing, typing or uploading your signature and placing it on any page, and add initials, text, today’s date or a tick where needed. The PDF never leaves your browser.

About this tool
Sign a PDF online without uploading it: draw your signature with a mouse, pen or finger, type your name in a handwriting-style font, or upload a picture of your signature, then place it anywhere on any page. You can also add text, today’s date and ticks, for example to complete a form that has no fillable fields.
What is added is a picture of your signature, as when you sign on paper, not a certificate-based digital signature. Text, dates and ticks are drawn as pictures too, so any language works. The PDF and your signature stay in your browser, and the signed copy is saved as a new file.
How to use it
- Choose or drop a PDF; its pages are shown below.
- Make your signature: “Draw” it on the pad and select “Use this signature”, “Type” your name and pick a “Style”, or “Upload” a picture of it. For drawn and typed signatures, choose black or blue under “Ink” first.
- Click the page where the signature goes. It stays selected, so you can click other pages to sign them too.
- To add other items, select “Text” (after typing it in “Text to add”), “Date” or “Tick ✓”, then click the page. Drag an item to move it, drag its corner to resize it, or press Delete to remove it.
- Select “Save signed PDF” to download the copy, named after the original with “-signed” added.
Common questions
Is this a certificate-based digital signature?
No. It places a picture of your signature on the page, like signing a printed copy and scanning it. It does not prove who signed or that nothing changed afterwards, as a certificate-based digital signature does; whether a picture signature is enough depends on who asks for it.
How do I get a clean signature from a photo?
Drawn and typed signatures have no background. In an uploaded PNG, JPG or WebP picture, white paper is made transparent, so only the ink is placed; sign with a dark pen on plain white paper and take the photo in good light for the cleanest result.
Can I sign several pages or a long document?
Yes. Once placed, the signature stays selected, so each click on a page adds another copy. The first 100 pages are shown for placing items; any later pages are kept unchanged in the saved PDF.
Can I add the date or text in another language?
Yes. “Date” adds today’s date in the language of the page, such as October 22, 2026 in English, and “Text” adds whatever you typed in “Text to add”. Both are drawn as pictures, so Chinese, Japanese and other scripts come out as you typed them.
Why is my PDF refused?
Password-protected PDFs must first be unlocked with “Unlock PDF”. PDFs that are already digitally signed are refused, because any change would invalidate that signature. Damaged files and documents over 500 pages are refused too.
