Convert font format
Convert fonts between TTF/OTF, WOFF and WOFF2 without changing any glyph. Outlines stay as they are, so a TrueType font stays TTF and a CFF font stays OTF.

About this tool
Convert fonts between TTF/OTF, WOFF and WOFF2. Use it to turn a font into a smaller WOFF2 for @font-face on a web page, or to turn a WOFF or WOFF2 font back into TTF or OTF so you can install it on your computer.
Only the container changes; glyphs and outlines stay as they are, so a TrueType font stays TTF and a CFF font stays OTF. Up to 20 files, 40 MB each and 80 MB in total, are converted in your browser without being uploaded.
How to use it
- Choose up to 20 TTF, OTF, WOFF or WOFF2 fonts, or drop them on the page. You can also select Use example.
- Pick an “Output format”: “TTF / OTF (uncompressed)”, “WOFF” or “WOFF2 (smallest, for the web)”. WOFF2 is the default.
- Select Run.
- Check the sample text shown in each converted font, then download the fonts one by one or all together as a ZIP.

Common questions
Does converting change the glyphs or lower the quality?
No. Only the container and its compression change; glyphs and outlines stay as they are.
Why do I get an .otf file when I choose “TTF / OTF”?
The outlines decide the extension: fonts with TrueType outlines are saved as .ttf and fonts with CFF outlines as .otf. The tool does not convert one kind of outline into the other.
Can I convert a .ttc font?
No. A TTC file is a collection of several fonts, and this tool supports single TTF, OTF, WOFF and WOFF2 fonts only.
Can a WOFF2 font from a website go back to TTF?
Yes. Most published WOFF2 fonts store their glyph tables in a transformed form, and the tool rebuilds those tables when it reads the font, then writes TTF or OTF.
Why is a Chinese font still large as WOFF2?
Converting changes only the compression, not the number of characters, and Chinese fonts hold a great many glyphs. If a page uses only some characters, the “Subset a font” tool can keep just those.
Related tools
Subset a font
Keep only the characters you list in a TTF, OTF, WOFF or WOFF2 font, so a web font shrinks from megabytes to kilobytes. Layout features for the kept characters stay.
Font preview and glyphs
Preview TTF, OTF, WOFF and WOFF2 fonts or installed fonts at several sizes, see their names and versions, and browse or search every glyph.
Convert audio to MP3, M4A, OGG or WAV
Convert MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, FLAC and WebM audio to MP3, M4A, OGG, WebM or WAV, with bitrate, sample rate and channels. MP3 is encoded with LAME and the other formats by the browser; files are not uploaded.
Convert image format (HEIC to JPG, PNG, WebP)
Convert images between JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF and ICO icons, and turn iPhone HEIC or HEIF photos into JPG, PNG or WebP; AVIF can also be read where the browser decodes it. Animated images are not supported, and files are not uploaded.
Convert images to ICO icons
Make a Windows or website icon (favicon.ico) holding several sizes from 16 to 256 px, with optional rounded corners or a circle.
Convert video format
Convert between MP4, WebM, MKV and MOV; MP4 and MOV get H.264 video and AAC sound so any player opens them, and other formats copy streams when they can. Scale down, remove the sound or trim at the same time. Encoding uses the browser.
