About this tool
Split a PDF into separate files, one per page, or pull out only the pages you need, such as the signed page of a contract, one chapter of a report, or the few pages you have to send again after a correction.
Enter page ranges like 1-3,5 and choose whether each range or each page becomes its own PDF; leave the ranges blank to split every page. One PDF of up to 100 pages and 25 MB is split at a time, right in your browser, without uploading it.
How to use it
- Choose one PDF file, or drop it on the page.
- Enter “Page ranges”, such as 1-3,5, or leave it blank for all pages. Pick a “Split mode”: “One PDF per page” or “One PDF per range”. Once the file is read, the total page count and the number of output files are shown and follow your changes.
- Select Run to split the PDF.
- Preview the results, then download them one by one or all together as a ZIP.

Common questions
How do I write page ranges?
Separate the parts with commas and join a run of pages with a hyphen, for example 1-3,5,8-10. Each range must go from a lower to a higher page within the document, and a page may appear only once.
How do I save several pages as one PDF?
Enter them as one range, such as 2-5, and choose “One PDF per range”. Pages separated by commas, such as 1,3,5, are separate ranges, so they always become separate files.
What are the output files called?
Single pages are named like “page-3.pdf” and ranges like “pages-2-5.pdf”, using the page numbers of the original document.
Why can't my PDF be split?
Encrypted or password-protected PDFs, and PDFs that rely on features such as fillable forms, digital signatures, attachments or accessibility tags, are refused with a message saying why. The file can also have at most 100 pages and 25 MB.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The PDF is split in your browser and stays on your device until you close or clear the page.
