About this task
Marketplaces such as Amazon ask for product photos on a pure white background, RGB 255, 255, 255, and many forms and profiles want a plain white background behind a person. This page opens the background remover set to a solid white background and JPG output, so the result is ready to upload as it is.
The subject is cut out by an AI model running in your browser, and its edges are blended into the white without a fringe of the old background. For a listing where the product must fill most of the frame, tick “Crop to the subject”: with a margin of 8 percent the product fills about 85 percent of the longer side.
How to do it
- Choose or drop up to 10 photos, each with one clear subject.
- Leave “Background” on Solid colour, the colour on #FFFFFF and the format on JPG; tick “Crop to the subject” for product listings.
- Select Run; the first run downloads the model, about 45 MB.
- Download the JPGs, named after the originals with “-no-bg”, one by one or as a ZIP.
Common questions
Is the background really pure white?
Yes. Everything outside the subject is filled with #FFFFFF; only the soft edge of the subject, such as hair, blends into it.
Can I use another colour?
Yes. Pick any colour in “Background colour”, for example a light grey for a softer look, or set the background to Transparent and save as PNG to place the subject yourself.
Why is the shadow under my product gone?
Shadows count as background and are removed with it. Marketplaces generally allow a white background without shadows; if you want one, add it afterwards in an image editor.
